13 Feet Later - A Group Show At The Beaumont Gallery

In 2017 I joined together with 12 artists to do a mural project in Sicily. It was the start of something beautiful. We all bonded over the project and formed a collective called 13 Feet Off The Ground (a reference to our original group, and the elevation from which we paint murals). We’ve since done several shows, projects and murals together, at home and in Mexico. More importantly, we’ve formed friendships that will continue throughout our lives. We support each other, collaborate, brainstorm and cheerlead.

This show is a celebration of our continuing friendship, and a look at the work everyone is doing now.

The Beaumont Gallery is such a fabulous spot. I used to live around the corner and had a printmaking studio here once upon a time. I’ve also come here for everything from Hoola hoop dance parties to life drawing sessions. Jude, who owns it, has created a great space for artists to work, collaborate, show, or just meet for coffee in the cafe. I’ll be at sea for most of the show, but my work will be there, and i’m looking forward to seeing what everyone else has been creating.

Stop by if you’re in Vancouver.
